Open puts a list back on this page exactly as it was checked, with every download option. Download original gives back the file as it was dropped in.
Step 1 · one time
Load the free NANPA list
NANPA runs the US phone numbering plan. It publishes, for free, which carrier each area code + prefix was first assigned to. This page reads those two files here in your browser and keeps them, so you only do this once, and again whenever you want fresher data.

If a button opens a page instead of saving a file, get the files from NANPA's report pages: central office codes ↗ (All States, utilized codes) and thousands-blocks ↗ (All Regions).
Then drop both files here, or
The ZIP files work as they are. If your browser already unzipped them, drop the two .txt files instead. They are read on this computer; a copy goes into the history with each checked list.
Check the largest carriers
The biggest holders in the list and how each one is counted. Glance at this once after loading: wireless companies should say Mobile.

CSV, Excel, ZIP or RAR, one file or several at once. Archives are unpacked here, and CSV files with the same columns are checked together as one list.
CSV: up to 20 million rows at a time. Excel: up to 250,000 rows, so save bigger lists as CSV. Each checked list is also saved, compressed, to this site's private history.
The NANPA list is not loaded yet (step 1). You can already choose a file and its phone column; checking starts once the list is loaded.

Your own columns (shaded) come back exactly as they were, in the same order. Thirteen result columns are added on the right; eight are shown here.

Only the prefix list is loaded. You can check numbers now, but about one answer in five changes once the thousands-block list is loaded too (step 1, at the top of the page).
Load the NANPA list first (step 1, at the top of the page). Then this button turns on.

Results
Only the prefix list was loaded for this check. About one answer in five changes once the thousands-block list is loaded too. Load it in step 1, then check this sheet again.
Mobile is an estimate from each number's original NANPA assignment. A number that was later moved to another carrier can be wrong either way. Carrier is the original assignee, and Active Status is always Unknown.

Full Sheet is your original file with the result columns added on the right; untick columns above to leave them out. Results stay on this page only until you close it, so download what you need.
This list has more rows than Excel can open in one sheet (1,048,576). Keep the original file where it is until you have finished downloading: each download is read from it again.
